Dear Friends,
I am so very honored to share a new song and a new episode of the Sleeping At Last Podcast with you today!
"Some Kind of Heaven" is out now! It is the latest song in my "Mother" collection, which release one at a time until Mother's Day. (Learn more about the project "Mother" here)
"Some Kind of Heaven" is my broken heart in the shape of a song. It's the most direct and personal song I've written about my experience with grief, so it's bittersweet to share it with you today. Bitter, because it is painful to remember this last year of losing my mom, but sweet because it is a deep honor to get to share this music and journey with you.
Massive thanks to Sharon Gerber and Anya-Katarina Gerber for gracing this song with their beautiful cellos and violins, Joey Chou for the wonderful cover art and Chris Bethea for mastering!
It also means so much to share another new episode of The Sleeping At Last Podcast. In this episode, I describe all that went into writing this new song "Some Kind of Heaven" and continue talking through my experience with grief. Again, I am very grateful to get to share this process with you and so thankful to you for listening.
Hope you enjoy "Some Kind of Heaven". Thank you!
Huge Love, Ryan
